Introduction
Temperate Asia stretches from Afghanistan to Siberia, China, Tibet, Korea, Vietnam and Japan. It is a region where the distribution ranges of several faunas overlap. Temperate and sub-arctic species occur at higher altitudes while subtropical species inhabit the warm valleys.
